Oakridge Cottages - St Mellion
Oakridge St Mellion is truly something special. You will be staying on a safe private holiday estate adjoining the fairways of the renowned St Mellion Golf & Country Club. Accessed via a long ˝ mile drive and set in 35 acres of grounds, you instantly feel that you have truly got away from it all.
For golfers, the two FULL St Mellion golf memberships are simply the icing on the cake.
We feature four cottages on the estate. Fairways and Treetops have two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Wentworth and The Gallery (3 bedrooms) which have three bedrooms and two or three bath/shower rooms. The two bedroom cottages are very spacious, having the same overall living space as the 3 bedroom cottages.
Designed by a well-known local architect these stunning properties were built using local materials. The upside down design makes maximum use of the great views and floor to ceiling windows. The vaulted ceilings and large lounge areas enhance that feeling of light and space.
Oakridge has gracious surroundings, a lovely setting, close to good transport links with free golf, wonderful views and possibly the best sports and leisure facilities in Cornwall. Uniquely, the club can be accessed by a private entrance a short walk (20 minutes) from the club house.
The Grounds at Oakridge St Mellion...
The 35 acres vary from the well maintained ponds and lawns in front of your cottage, to woodland and heath within which you can enjoy a gentle stroll. The ponds are shallow with waterfall features.
St. Mellion itself is conveniently situated 15 miles from Plymouth, Dartmoor, Bodmin and Looe. It may, however, be difficult to drag the family away from what is available at St Mellion.
