popular so its best to get there early. We include lists
of all available farmers markets & what days they
are on. You will also find a comprehensive guide to farm
shops, great butchers and the best sources of fresh fish
to help you get the best out of your holiday time.
Restaurants & Pubs
These days, what is the difference between a good pub and
a good restaurant. Pubs become more formal, restaurants
less so.
We are interested in enjoying a good meal. Again you will
find our comprehensive guide to our local heroes a real
short cut to enjoying great meals.
Drink
Although Cornwall has a justifiably good reputation
for brewing, its wine has been somewhat neglected. From
the large brewers like Sharps to the local micro-brewery
Ring O’ Bells in Launceston, some great beers are
being brewed.
But wine – try Camel Valley in
Wadebridge & get a glimpse of the future. While we
have no desire to celebrate global warming, winemaking
will be increasingly feasible over the decades to come.
Cornish producers such as Camel Valley and Sharps in Devon
will be well-placed to capitalise on this change. |
